Shorewest and Habitat handed off the keys to the proud owners of two new homes.

WAUKESHA, WIS. 一 This past year, Shorewest, REALTORS® sponsored a Habitat for Humanity home in Habitat’s Prairieville Village in the city of Waukesha. Not only did the real estate brokerage offer financial support for the creation of this building process, but members of the Shorewest team volunteered their time and energy to help build the home as well. Team members worked alongside Habitat’s “Angel” volunteers to raise walls, paint, install carpet and more. On Monday, September 11th, these team members, along with the Habitat team, friends, neighbors and community members were invited to the home dedication and to present the keys for this duplex home to the new homeowners,

“We are so honored to have sponsored and collaborated with Habitat for Humanity on Prairieville Village,” said Vice President of Shorewest, John P. Horning. “Granting these families their wish of owning a home and getting to see how proud they are to live there is truly an honor. Habitat closely aligns with our mission of providing housing to all who seek it in Southeastern Wisconsin and we are honored to have seen that mission come to life through this project. We wish these new homeowners a lifetime of happiness and comfort in their new homes.”

Shorewest, REALTORS® has collaborated with Habitat for Humanity on various projects, including bringing them on as a community spotlight at Shorewest Children’s Fest Day at Summerfest this past year. This collaboration with Habitat of Waukesha originally began as a way to celebrate Shorewest’s 75th anniversary in 2021 and the key hand off signifies the completion of this particular project as new owners are now able to move into their homes.
